“Color Fool” is indie crooner Ari Chi presenting her variant of sound healing by imprinting her emotions on the ears of listeners. Ari is able to capture those fleeting feelings we often experience when reflecting and present them in song. Her willingness to hold those vibes vocally just long enough for listeners to connect her lyrics to their personal strides is what allows us to enjoy her blues, grays, and ineffable hues when we hear them.
With “Color Fool” Ari is able to vicariously transfer her chromesthesia or ability to associate sounds with colors. This is evident on “color” where keyboards and percussion’s converge and tempo switches often to keep the listener engaged as Ari Chi sifts through her “beautiful mess”. Although this is a project best served in its entirety, other notable tracks include “Let It Be Known” and “Didn’t Know” which speaks of the revelations at the latter end of a relationship.
