California love has periodically been the adoration of Hip Hop since some ambitious niggas with attitudes pierced through the then East coast helmed genre; forever altering the content and sonic landscape of Hip Hop. While the majority of talent permeates from the Bay and La respectively, San Diego has made some strides in the culture by way of Jayo Felony and others but Its Tre Aces’ talents that may push the city into the forefront of coast. Fully realized songs that juggle the struggles of life with an unwavering confidence that converges on arrogance constitute his musical dexterity. His latest release “Isaiah” sounds as polished as any of this year’s major releases and utilizes a sound that’s sure to influence those after it.

The effort begins with Tre wasting no timing declaring he’s “The Man”, on a minute long piece that serves as an abridgment of “Isaiah” allowing the listener to calibrate themselves toward the emcees derived sentiments. On “Wake Up “(Omelette)” he offers a witty lyrical backhand to anyone who may be still sleeping on Tre Ace’s vision. He even mentions leaving San Diego for the east coast a move that may put him amongst those uncomfortable with a burgeoning star, yet Tre refuses to let up only slowing down long enough to stretch the words at the end his bars enough to make your girl sings along to his self championing. “Still Here PtII” is everything the previous mentioned tracks are but more uptempo at times as the emcee breezes through shots at local emcees reassuring his status on the totem pole. Isaiah is choke full of anthems that could posses your playlist if performed by your favorite artist that’s mastered medium ship more so than a potent pen to masquerade as a threat. Tre Aces’ is an artist pertinent to anyone concerned with the direction of music and where it’s going, DIGGGERS are already there and we use this platform as a road map for those willing to follow.
