The V Don and Kill credits in the tracklisting were enough to convince me to listen to what turned out to be some of the most impressive shit on soundcloud.
I was high off contact with the first track from the album “2nd Hand” after instructions to “stay in your lane or get ya carjacked when you wish to speak on my name make sure its all facts…”, with a cadence more Queensbridge than Lone Star yet juxtaposed aside “pass you in a cutlass” the emcees 3rd coast upbringing is ever-present an meshes well with the uncanny backdrop. The clash of coast’s continues when eerie chords are screwed with ill intent and the shit just sounds perfect, if someone dropped ’95 Havoc off in 5th ward I imagine it would sound like this. Elsewhere the confidence found on “ 2 Bics” gives Tedy Andrea’s the presence of a veteran emcee as he reminisces on getting his first taste of the fast life selling pain medicine.
N2DEEP is brief yet dense; Hip Hop stripped down to its core elements with more than enough dope lines to garner replay value. Be it “AZ” an ode to the Life’s a Bitch emcee, or Promises Made a stand out track from the latter end of the Ep. Tedy Andreas is destroying Hip Hop typecast by crafting music that sounds not only dope but authentic.
