This is another fight we are looking forward to, the only thing that can get in its way of being a great fight if they score it like they did the triple g vs canelo fight… the showdown between Vasyl Lomachenko and Guillermo Rigondeaux fighters who are regarded as two of the best amateurs in history has been finalized for an ESPN televised date of December 9 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Rigondeaux, who holds the WBA’s super bantamweight title at 122-pounds, would move up by two weight divisions to challenge Lomachenko for the WBO super featherweight title at 130-pounds. He was ordered by the WBA have a rematch with Flores, but that contest will be put on hold until some point in 2018.
The fight has been discussed by most hardcore fans and pundits for several years. Most felt the fight was impossible to make when Lomachenko moved up from the featherweight division last year. But Rigondeaux began to call for the fight - regardless of the weight class and their respective promoters, Top Rank and Roc Nation Sports, began to negotiate the terms.
